The tree challenge took a bit of a back seat in today’s #Learnintodraw session as I overran doing the life poses. This largely cones down to how time consuming crosshatching is.
I watch a video this morning which took a more systematic approach to crosshatching than I had used before and I wanted to give it a go. It proved to be a useful if slow exercise.
The other reason for the extended life drawing is that I was very tense and it really came out in my first batch. Slow, carefully drawn lines suck the life out of gestures. So I did a second batch in a deliberately loose and scribbly style.
Trees were drawn but only in a rough, quick fashion.
Today’s session came from Starbucks at the Jubilee Campus. More drawing tomorrow when I will dedicate a lot more time to trees.
