This Saturday saw the coronation of the latest parasite to sit on the throne. As I would rather nail my manhood to a table than watch it I went in the Market Square to photograph what Nottingham was up to as this supposedly historical moment took place.
In general, people were going about their ordinary lives, doing the shopping, meeting friends and skateboarding. This chap was busy painting the Council House. I thought the act of painting a monument to power while a homeless person lay ignored by everyone perfectly summed up the state of the country.
I’m not a wildlife photographer, partly because I think the outdoors is overrated and partly because I don’t know a Lesser Spotted Weasel from a Dappled Sparrow Buggerer. However this Goldfinch(?) parked itself just outside my window.
